No matter the Weather....

I woke up this morning to a crisp, cloudy day. My kind of weather actually. I am the kind of gal that likes a variety of weather actually.

I was out and about running errands most of the day. It seems everywhere you go people are commenting about the weather. "Sure hope it does not rain on Easter" ... things like that.

Now, we live in the desert, there is never much rain, and what rain we get we desperately NEED. So I am always a bit taken aback when people are so against the impending rainy weather. (I have been in the position that when it rained we did not get work so I do understand that part completely!!!)

Anyway, while I was checking out of one store...a lady and I had a sweet little conversation. She was going on about hoping it did not rain on Easter....I replied with "well, either way, it will be a good day to be with our loved ones celebrating our risen savior!!!" She looked up at me, I knew we were on the same page and she said, "It does not matter the weather, either way we are going to be together."

EXACTLY!

I think it is time to realize that no matter the weather, when we are together, that is all that truly matters!

If it rains on Easter...hide the Easter eggs in the house and have a whole new kind of hunt. Spread a blanket on the living room floor and have a picnic inside. Play board games instead of the outdoor activities you had planned.

Just make it a point of ENJOYING yourself and the ones you are blessed enough to be with.

"The best thing to do when it's raining is to let it rain"
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

"Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own Sunshine (Sonshine!!!)"
~Anthony J D'Angelo

Love & Blessings to you as you enjoy whatever the weather!

  1. I think I always hate rain on Easter because it seems so sad and dreary. Here in Michigan we long for sunshine so desperately this time of year that having sun on Easter is a huge bonus (some years we get ice and snow!)

I am so excited for Easter this year even though we have no kids, no eggs, and no games planned. I will relish in the joy of my Savior!

Woohoo, glad you finally joined the blogging world. I knew you would be good at it!!!
